Highspeed learning, improving and moving foreward- Our journey towards DevOps at Dutch Railways - International

Within the Dutch Railways, NS International deals with all international travel and trains, like Eurostar, Thalys and ICE. Responsible for the IT, my focus is about maximizing customer value, reliability, and innovation. We have ambitious goals in a challenging and constantly changing international landscape, with many stakeholders and suppliers. This requires focus, dedication and simplification. We have been reshaping the alignment between sales, marketing and IT in the past few years and this has given us the focus and success to grow our market position.

I would like to take you through our journey, sharing both the successes and failures, of the last years. Our key attention points here are: People, Way of working and Technology. All on board, we are leaving!

Pascal Reijnders

Coming from and studing in the South of The Netherlands, Pascal  started his career in 1993. Since then he has worked in several substantive and managerial positions in various companies (SME’s and large companies ). As a bridge builder and initiator of the "change" he worked through the axes of (business & IT) portfolio management, business consulting, information management and architecture & security. His vision is about delivering results, about accelerating the (aligned) business and IT all from a customer centric perspective. In the last few years within NS InternationalPascal and his team made that happen. Within the triangle of people, process and technics they achieved "some cool stuff".
